It’s favourites time! I’ve been obsessed with several products over the last couple months and I’m so excited to share them with you. Now that spring is here, my makeup picks have been evolving slightly to go with the fresh new season! So let’s get to it!
NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray
This truly is magic in a bottle. This spray creates the most glowy, healthy looking skin imaginable. Since my skin is normal/dry and I don’t get any dewy-ness naturally, so this products gives me what I can’t get otherwise. I find that it really enhances any highlighter and makes all your face products look exceptional. It keeps my makeup on all day and looking fresh. I love love love this and I honestly can’t see myself using any other setting spray anytime soon.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
I have never loved a blush as much as this one. ever. I used to only wear matte blushes because I had some bad experiences with some crappy shimmery ones, but after using this, I am no longer an only matte girl. This blush has the most perfect sheen and soft shimmer that just makes your face glow. It’s pigmented, but looks really natural on my skin tone. This colour is perfectly fresh and soft for spring, I seem to be reaching for it above all else. This blush is so buttery and smooth, I definitely will be purchasing more of these.
Quo Contour Brush
To apply my favourite blush, I’ve re-discovered a brush in my collection. I bought this brush nearly a year ago for contouring, but after many months of trying I discovered that this is just not the right shape for my face. It was set aside for a while, but recently I’ve been loving it for blush. For this purpose, it’s the perfect shape and size. It really gives a nice soft application, perfect for spring.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
This sponge is my new favourite makeup tool. It’s a super quick method to apply foundation and is pretty foolproof. When I use this, my foundation is never streaky and it makes a thick foundation blend right in. I think using it damp is really good for people with dryer skin, it seems like it really pins down any dry patches and makes them blend, so it never looks cakey. And at only $6 on Real Techniques website, it’s a must have in my opinion!
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
This product is such a staple. I have been using this as a base to make eyeshadows look more vibrant, especially with the Naked 3 palette. I have 2 other shades of this, but this is the most neutral, so I reach for it most often. Overall, a great product!
NYX Studio Liquid Liner
The majority of my favourite products for this month came from my Cherry Culture Haul that I did at the end of March and this favourite also comes from that haul. At the time of the haul, my pen liner had dried up and I was growing bored of my ELF Cream Eyeliner, so I decided to try this out. It was super cheap, less than $4 so I figured why not? And I didn’t realized I had stumbled on a hidden gem. I have had a perfect winged liner month since purchasing this. It has a really fine, flexible brush tip applicator and I find it SO easy to get a pretty good wing. It stays on all day and I would say it’s pretty waterproof. I’m already planning to get back-ups of these, so that I never run out.
Conair Multi-Size Hot Rollers
My last favourite is a hair product. I have been loving soft curls, I think it’s really pretty and feminine. To get those curls, I’ve been using a set of hot rollers. The Conair Multi-Size Hot Rollers are perfect because they give volume that I wasn’t getting from a curling iron. I’m still practicing the best way to use these, but I’ve gotten good results every time. They’re perfect because I can do another things while they’re working their magic. It’s a pretty fool proof hair tool for hair-challenged people like me.
There are all my favourites for the month of April! Let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving 🙂
Bye for now,
