I’m back again with a haul! My boyfriend Steve and I had a date night last night and between before dinner and then before the movie we had some time to kill so I did some shopping! Let’s get to it!
Revlon Lip Butters
The first thing I picked up is new to me. I have seen these raved about for a long time, but never picked any up. These are on sale for $3.99 at Shopper’s Drug Mart until July 4th, which is a great price so I decided to give these a go!
I picked up the shades, Lollipop, Juicy Papaya and Sweet Tart. First off, I love the names and the packaging. I mean who doesn’t want to put juicy papaya on their lips? I believe Juicy Papaya is limited edition and I’ve heard lots of people talking about it, so when I saw it for that price, it was for sure going to be mine. It is definitely the lightest of the 3, but for a subtle hint of orange, it’s going to be perfect. The other 2 are both pinks, but Lollipop is much more berry toned whereas Sweet Tart is a brighter, medium pink. I think these will be great for a nice light to medium wash of colour on days where I don’t want to worry about touching up lipstick.

Revlon ColorBurst Balms
The next things I got were also Revlon lip products, but these are for days when I want a little more colour.
I already own a few of the ColorBurst Matte Balm Stains and I really like them, so I picked up a couple more of those in the shades in the shades Audacious and Showy. I also decided to test out one of the Lacquer Balms since I haven’t tried one of those, so I picked up Vivacious. I find these last a long time and are super easy to apply, so I knew I wanted to add more to my collection. Audacious is straight up orange. By far the most orange shade I own. I figure with some summer colour if I ever get any, it will really pop. Showy is the definition of Barbie pink. It’s a bright blue-toned cool pink. Vivacious is like a berry-fuchsia colour that will probably be more of a wash, as opposed to full on colour like the others. It’s definitely shinier which I think I’ll like.

The next few things I picked up are a brand that’s new to me, Essence. It’s funny because I just said the other day that I could never find decent displays for this brand and then basically right after I said that I found one. Essence is by far the most affordable makeup brand I have ever seen, so I picked up a few things figuring even if they didn’t work out it wouldn’t be a real loss. The first thing is a lipliner in the shade Wish Me a Rose. There weren’t a ton of shades, but I figured this shade could go with a lot of lipsticks I wear, so for $1.49 it was well worth it.
Essence Lash Powder
This product is a complete gamble, but I’m excited for it.
I haven’t heard too much about this, but I did look at some reviews that say this is awesome if you ignore the instructions, so that’s what I’m going to do. Basically it’s little fibres to add volume to your lashes, just like Too Faced sells. You probably aren’t supposed to use this with contacts, but I’m going to live on the edge and do it anyway! If it’s a flop, it was $3.50 so not a big loss. I’m thinking that a first impression on this might be fun. Let me know in the comments if you’d want to see that 🙂
Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara
I was so excited to find this! I have heard EmilyNoel83 raving about this, so when I saw it for only $3.99 I had to give it a try. I’m excited to see how this performs. If I can find a mascara that I love inexpensively, I’ll be thrilled. I haven’t tried it, but upon first glance the wand is HUGE.
Essence Gel Eyeliner
My last Essence product is a basic gel eyeliner in black. I am currently testing out another gel eyeliner that is slightly more expensive (still drugstore), so I figured I’d give this a try and see how it compares. So far it seems much smoother and more gel like, so I’m curious on how this will apply. It was also very cheap, so I hope this is a winner!
Balea Face Masks
I next picked up 3 face masks from Balea. I have used this brand before and really enjoyed it, so I decided to pick some up to have around. Sometimes I just feel like relaxing with a face mask and it’s nice to have one around for those times. These are $3/5, so a great way to pamper yourself inexpensively.
Live Clean Glowing Daily Serum
I found this in the clearance section in Walmart cosmetics and decided to give it a try. It was slightly more expensive, but I trust the Live Clean brand, so I felt confident purchasing this. It claims to leave your skin soft and radiant which sounded really good so I scooped it up.
Ardell Natural 120 Lashes
I always pick these up and then put them back, but this time I decided to actually buy them. I have a couple tutorials planned and these will really complete the looks without being over the top.
Ardell Clear Adhesive
I needed some glue to go with the lashes and they were sold out of the Revlon lash glue, so I’m going to see how this does.
So there you have it, we have reached the end of my haul! I hope you enjoyed this post. Leave me a comment below, I respond to them all and I love talking to you guys!
Bye for now!
