So if you caught my post two weeks ago, I bit the bullet and purchased the Clarisonic Mia. I’m not going to go into huge detail why since I did talk about that in my ‘pre-use‘ post. This post is going to be chronicling my first 2 weeks using the Clarisonic Mia. I’ll note how I feel about it, if I noticed any changes in my skin or anything else that comes up.
I let the Clarisonic charge for 24 hours as recommended and I could hardly wait to use it. I’ll admit I probably hyped up the first use a bit. I opted not to use the cleanser that came with it and just use my regular cleanser since I know my skin likes that. The cleanser I use is the Simple Foaming Cleanser. I initially pumped it right onto the device, but I switched and ended up just putting it on my face first, it spreads easier that way. It definitely was a little rougher than I expected, not painful or anything but not soft soft if that makes sense. You definitely want to make sure both your face and the brush are pretty wet or it will drag. I used it for 1 minute and afterwards my skin felt pretty much the same, maybe a touch softer. I wasn’t wearing any makeup before I used it so I couldn’t see how it worked to remove makeup or anything like that. My skin didn’t feel tight or dry. So after first use there was no change which is to be expected.
The Rest of Week 1 and 2
I have now used the Clarisonic once a day for 14 days and I’m already so attached to it. It takes off my makeup quickly and my skin just feels clean afterwards. In terms of my skin, I started off with dry patches like I mentioned in the initial pre-use post and those have fully cleared up. I initially wasn’t sure my skin could handle using this every day, but I haven’t felt dry at all so that’s great. My skin does feel soft, like really, really soft.
Now I’ve heard that the Clarisonic can make you break out since it’s pushing all the dirt out of your pores. I’m seeing a little of that but not majorly. I’ve had a couple of small blemishes on my forehead and nose, but nothing extreme. I never break out on my forehead so I can pretty accurately associate it with the Clarisonic.
I’m going to include a photo from 2 weeks ago and from today so we can see side by side if there is any difference thus far.
Excuse the resting bitch face, it was bedtime. So in all not a ton of change that I can see, but my skin does feel really soft and hydrated. I don’t know, can you see a difference? I’m still not entirely sure how long it will take to see changes but I’m willing to be patient because I already (so far) love my Clarisonic.
If you’ve used the Clarisonic, how long did it take for you to see changes in your skin? Let me know in the comments, I’m really curious.
Bye for now!
