I am so excited to be writing this post. Sometimes there is nothing better than a haul and hauls are some of my favourite posts to write. This is a collective haul from a both Sephora and MAC. I was lucky enough to get a gift card for Easter for MAC plus I returned the Clarisonic to Sephora so while I was there I couldn’t help but take advantage of the VIB sale. I did also get some other MAC stuff on my own and that’s how we got to this haul!
The MAC portion of this haul was all about the eyes and lips apparently. I picked up 2 fluidlines, which I had never tried before and then 3 lip pencils, which I have become obsessed with recently.
Fluidline- Royal Wink
The first thing I picked up is a fluidline in Royal Wink which is an amazing vibrant royal blue colour. When I saw this I had no idea what I would do with it, but I had to own it. It’s hard to find shades like this that are matte which this is. Although not recommended I will probably put this in my waterline for a pop of colour or go for vibrant winged liner. I thought I would have to build this up but it;s pretty opaque.
The second fluidline I got I have been wanting for months. I saw this a few months back, then it disappeared off the website, only to return a few weeks ago. It’s a copper liner with copper glitter flakes throughout. I have tried this already and I really love the look of it. I prefer it as an eye base, since it can be hard to get an even line with all the chunks of glitter. As a base it’s not too stiff which is awesome. I was worried it wouldn’t be comfortable to wear all over but it’s no different than any other base. I’m pretty sure this is limited edition so if you want it, you might have to act fast.

Creamstick Liner- Pink Treat
After I went to Sephora I stopped in at MAC since I don’t have a MAC or Sephora in my actual city I never pass up the chance to pop by a physical store. When I was there I was swatching up a storm as usual and I really liked the look of this pencil and it was super creamy. It’s a pinky brown shade, a shade I’ve been obsessed with. The saleswoman did say that the Creamstick liners are being discontinued so if I love this formula I’m going to be out of luck sadly. I’m sure they’ll be around for a bit longer. This pencil is much creamier than MAC’s regular formula and it doesn’t need to be sharpened.
Pro Longwear Lip Pencil- Shock Value
The second pencil I picked up is specifically for Candy Yum Yum lipstick. I like to use a lip liner with pretty much everything, but Candy Yum Yum really does need a crisp edge. I use lip pencils to even out my lip shape and with a colour as bright as Candy Yum Yum you really do need a perfect edge. They do make a Candy Yum Yum Pencil now, but I preferred this shade. I can already tell just from swatching that the Pro Longwear formula definitely lasts longer than the regular pencils. It doesn’t even smudge once it sets.
Lip Pencil- Beet
The last lip product I picked up was a lip pencil in Beet. My sister bought this a while back and I almost got it and then changed my mind. She wore it over Easter and it looked so good on her, I decided to use my gift card to get it. It’s a red, but it’s got tons of pink and berry kind of undertones which I really like since I don’t go for traditional red lips very often.

Now moving onto Sephora. I initially went to make a couple returns and it worked out as today is the last day of the VIB sale so I was able to get a 15% discount on a few items that caught my eye.
I have no idea why it took me so long to pick this up. I always think to get it and then forget when I get to the store. This time I remembered! This is a very light gold highlighter that really packs a punch when it catches the light. Even though my skin has a pink undertone and this is yellow in tone, I can still wear it and I love the sheen it gives off.
Josie Maran Coconut Water Eyeshadow- Playa Del Pink
The next thing I got at Sephora was my first Josie Maran product. I had seen KathleenLights use one of these eyeshadows in a video and I have been wanting it for a while so I took advantage of the sale and got it. I got Playa Del Pink which is a champagne with a subtle pink undertone. These come in a little bottle with a sponge tip applicator. They apply as a liquid and dry to be completely smooth. These do stay tacky for a bit while they’re drying so I’ll be curious how they do when other shadows are brought into the mix. I am definitely excited to give this a try.

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel
I did get one skincare item. If you saw my last post, the Clarisonic didn’t work out for me so I’m trying a different method to deal with my skin texture. I have been thinking about trying an AHA for a while to help resurface my skin and this cleanser caught my eye. It has an AHA but it for some reason seemed gentler than some other AHAs I’ve looked at. I have no idea if this will work for me, but I’m going to give it a go and I’ll report back.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks- Patina and Bellissima
The last 2 things I got were both Stila liquid lipsticks. I did get Patina online and I really liked the formula, so I picked up Bellissima when I was in store making my returns. These don’t feel so dry to me, which some liquid lipsticks are so I liked that. These don’t do as well with eating as some that I’ve tried but I have no issue reapplying as needed.
Patina-Patina is a rose-mauve shade that shows up pretty brown on my lips, which I don’t mind. It’s definitely a statement lip on me and it’ll be perfect for fall, even though I’ll still wear it before then. I have worn this and it does take a bit to set, but once it sets it’s completely matte.
Bellissima- This shade is a salmon, soft coral shade that will be perfect for spring.

That was it for my purchases, but I did use some of my points to get some samples to try. I usually don’t find anything that interests me in their perk options, but this time I did find a few that were good.
Diorshow Lash Maximizer- I have wanted to try this for a while but I didn’t want to dish out $35 for a product that’s basically clear. I have tried this already and it’s okay but I’m glad I didn’t purchase the full size. It didn’t make that much difference on my lashes.
Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover- I haven’t tried this and an eye makeup remover is always handy to have so I was happy to see this as a 100 point perk.
Clinique Moisture Surge- I was running low on day time moisturizer, so I picked this up just to try. I’ve used it and it seems to work well, but it smells like paint.
Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Family- For once there was a 500 point perk that looked interesting to me. I’ve heard good things but the Invisible Oil and my friend Jen really likes it so I decided to give this a try. You get a shampoo, conditioner, hair primer (like a protectant) and a small oil. My hair can be dry so shampoos with oils infused might work out well, we’ll see!
So that wraps up my haul! Did you pick up anything in the VIB sale? Or have you hauled from somewhere else? Let me know in the comments below!
Bye for now!
