Hi Everyone!

It has been an eternity since I wrote an empties post. I never feel like I have enough products or products that are interesting enough to discuss but I now realize that my empties are piling up. It seemed like my products were empty one after another this summer, so an empties post is well overdue.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

This was a holy grail item in my skincare routine for a long time. This is the bigger size they sell and it took me around 6 months to use it up. That doesn’t seem so bad, but this is so expensive. As of right now I haven’t been experiencing dry skin so repurchasing this isn’t necessary. To keep my skin moisturized I have just been using extra virgin olive oil and that seems to keep my skin just as moisturized. Now of course that could be seasonal as well, so when winter comes I may feel differently. I still don’t picture myself repurchasing this though. I think I will try out a most cost efficient oil like jojoba oil or stick with olive oil.

Equate Eye Makeup Remover

I purchased this solely to keep at my makeup table for cleaning up makeup mistakes, not for removing my makeup. This did a pretty good job of cleaning up any errors, but it burned so badly if it got into my eyes. I don’t quite get how this is marketed as an eye makeup remover when it burns like getting toothpaste in your eye. It was cheap, but not cheap enough to be worth it for me. I did finish this up, but I definitely won’t repurchase. I still need an eye makeup remover to clean up mistakes, but I’ll be trying something new.

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation

This is the first high end foundation I have ever completely used up. Well, maybe not completely used up; there might be a pump or 2 that I could squeeze out. I really liked this foundation. It looked great in photos and never looked cakey in person. I just started trying out the new formula, so we’ll see if it measures up.

LA Girl Pro Conceal- Classic Ivory

I have talked before about how much I enjoy this concealer so I won’t go on too long about it. This was in Classic Ivory, which was the lightest shade when I purchased this. They have since come out with several more shades and I’m now using a lighter shade. Classic Ivory is very peach toned so it does a great job of correcting dark circles.

Yummy Skin Premium Sugar Scrub

I won this scrub in a giveaway about a year ago and I was obsessed with it for a long time. It makes my skin feel like butter when I use it and it smells like lemonade. Win win in my books.

L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer

This was basically empty at the beginning of this summer and I haven’t felt a huge desire to repurchase this. I love dewy skin but I have been reaching for my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation anytime I want my skin to look super glowy, so I guess I don’t really see a need for this product. By the time I use that foundation and a highlight I have glow for days and anymore would make me look like a hot dog.

Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Conditioner

I got this conditioner as part of a Sephora 500 point perk along with a shampoo and a sample of their oil. I really liked this conditioner, but the full size is $42 which is more than I’d like to spend for a bottle of conditioner. It did make my hair softer after using it, but I didn’t see any long term effects on my hair. I’m now using a hair oil that was half the price and it does the same thing.

So there you have it! What have you used up recently?

Bye for now!

Where do you find the LA Girl concealer in Canada?

I’ve ordered it online- once from BeautyJoint and Once from Lady Moss. I can’t find it in a store.

That’s funny because I almost never finish foundations. It takes me a long time to finish products anyway but especially foundation
