November Favourites

Hi Everyone!

It is so hard to believe that I’m writing my last monthly favourites for 2015. For December I won’t be posting my monthly favourites, but rather my 2015 Favourites. I love looking back on the year to see what I loved, so I’m excited to be writing that post soon. For today, I’ll just be sharing what I’ve been loving in November. I have a ton of products so get comfy!

Kat Von D Mi Vida Local Remix Palette

I got this palette towards the end of last month and I have been loving it. I was planning on reviewing it but since it’s pretty much sold out, I figured that might be kind of a tease. This palette features many bright shades, but it also includes neutrals which is the perfect combination. I needed some good quality brights in my collection and this fills that need perfectly.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

I heard a ridiculous amount of hype surrounding this product and finally caved. I had been wanting this since the summer, but I refused to pay $20 for shipping through Tatcha’s website. I got lucky and Sephora started carrying Tatcha’s products and I scooped it up. This is for max glow-seekers only. I have normal skin at this point and this makes me extremely glowy. If you have combination or oily skin, you could still try this but I would only do it with a mattifying foundation or it might be too glowy in combination with any natural oils. I personally can never look glowy enough, so this is perfect for me.

Becca Champagne Glow Palette

I’ll admit that at first this really didn’t impress me. I already own and love Champagne Pop, but I wasn’t in love with Pearl and Blushed Copper is too dark for me to wear as a highlight. Even though I’m the colour of paper, I felt like Pearl lacked pigmentation and just looked frosty on my skin. So why the hell is this in a favourites post?! I’m honestly not sure what the switch was, but I’m wondering if Pearl needed a layer taken off the top or something because it’s way better now than it was when I first used it. I love the combination of Champagne Pop and Pearl, it’s the perfect highlight and I am fully addicted. In terms of using Blushed Copper, I have been obsessed with this alone as a blush. With a fluffy brush most of the shimmer doesn’t pick up and you just get a beautiful burnt copper flush to your cheeks.

Bobbi Brown Corrector- Bisque

If you have dark circles you need this in your life. I know the trend is to use a lighter concealer to highlight, but if you have dark circles you really need a corrector like this first. Even though I’m pale, I got this in Bisque to get the true orange shade that is needed to actually correct darkness. I then use my lighter concealer on top. This is very creamy and is kind of sticky in texture, but not overly thick. I feel like the tacky texture of this actually helps my concealer last longer because it has something to stick to.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick- Dominatrix

I recently reviewed this line of lipsticks and this is one of my favourites, although I love them all. Something about this colour is just special to me and I just feel good when I wear it. I think maybe it’s because it’s a statement shade, but a unique statement shade; it’s not the usual deep red or deep purple.

Josie Maran Coconut Water Eyeshadow

November was the month of picture taking in my life. First I had my graduation photos, but my friends and my boyfriend’s as well. For both mine and my boyfriend’s I incorporated this eyeshadow in my look. I feel like this is special enough for pictures, but it’s not over the top. I wanted the pictures to be timeless and I feel like this shade is pretty neutral. I don’t have the photos back yet so who knows how they turned out at this point? Hopefully okay, fingers crossed. Anyway, this is a beautiful shade that spices up a neutral eye look and makes it special.

It’s A 10 Leave in Conditioner

This stuff seriously saves my hair. I’ve mentioned this before, but I get crazy knots in the back. If I spray this on regularly, I get fewer knots and the ones I do get untangle easier.

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel

In terms of skincare for the month of November, I have one main product that I have been loving. I have owned this product for several months and enjoyed it right from the beginning, but now it’s a staple. I have been using this as a nightly cleanser and my skin loves it. My skin has been completely clear and super, super soft. I was only using this occasionally, but it’s gentle enough for me to use daily. I have fairly sensitive skin but this works well for me. I have a couple of foundations that I love, but do irritate my skin slightly. If I use this my skin doesn’t look irritated the next day after wearing one of those foundations. Plus it smells good so that’s a plus. If you want a good exfoliant but not something that’s rough or harsh, this is a great option.

So there you have it! I can’t believe that we are heading into the last month of the year and my 2 year blogging anniversary. Hard to believe it’s already been 2 years!

What have you been loving this month? I love hearing your favourites and I always get awesome product recommendations through the comments.

Bye for now!

Chelsey

I’ve been really loving the Mi Vida Loca palette as well. I can’t believe it’s already sold out!
I’ve also been loving the Peter Thomas Roth double sided concealer and highlight pen thing. The highlight is really nice for layering. I should really snag a peachy corrector to counteract my dark circles.

Ya it was pretty popular, these are my first Kat Von D eyeshadows and I’m really impressed. I’ll have to look into the Peter Thomas Roth Pen sounds interesting! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

I’m so tempted by the Catcha spray – the bottle itself is just gorgeous.

Does the bosica gel actually peel off or is it just a cleanser? I’ve been looking for a peel off mask and I have their black peel off mask but I never see any gunk come off with it. I know there’s stuff in my pores because I can see it lol.

It’s not a peel off mask, you rub it on your dry face and it chemically exfoliates and picks up dead skin when you wash it off. I tried their peel off mask and it tinted my skin :/ and I didn’t see it get anything either.

I want to try the Manuka doctor peel mask but I’m not sure if I want to spend the money on it. I see shaanxo use it all the time and it pulls everything out.

That was exactly what I thought of when you said you’re looking for a peel off mask. I want to try that too! I don’t know where to get it

You can order it off their website, their a UK brand but for me (US) shipping is $35 dollars just for the mask which is $22 on their site. Maybe Amazon I’m not sure. 😕
