September has come and gone, which means it’s time to share my most loved products of the month! I have had many makeup free days over the last couple of months, because I would basically pick sleep over almost anything. Although I go out without makeup a lot of the time, I don’t really feel like myself without it. When I did have time to put a face on, I had some clear favourites that I have been dying to share.
Bioderma Makeup Removing Micelle Solution
As much as I love the feeling of clean skin, removing makeup is such a chore to me. I want everything off, but I don’t want an oily film left behind. This dilemma led me to try a new makeup remover that I have fallen in love with. This Bioderma Micellar water is so amazing, I’m kind of blown away. It gets off even heavy makeup super easily and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I have extremely sensitive eyes and this doesn’t burn my eyes either, which is huge. I will definitely be purchasing the big bottle of this once I have used up the bottle I have now.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation
I have a new favourite foundation and it’s drugstore, which I’ll admit hasn’t happened in a long time. I decided to try out the new Pro Glow foundation and I’m so glad I did. This gives great coverage and a beautiful dewy finish. I don’t agree with their 24hr claim, but I would never try and wear it for that long anyway. I am so impressed with this and I love it just as much as some of my foundations that are way more expensive. Also, the shade is a good match for me, which doesn’t happen very often with drugstore foundations.
Marc Jacobs Spotlight Highlighter
Moving on to something that is sadly not a drugstore bargain. I have been dying to get my hands on this highlight for so long, but every time I went to Sephora it was sold out. I finally got it and I can’t put it down. This is a cream highlight, which I love because this melts into my skin and creates an intense, wet look. Powder can sit on the skin, but this really blends and looks like the kind of glow I’m after. This is not sticky or tacky, so I can wear it on it’s own or with powder on top. The packaging on this is a bit weird, so I do put it on a brush first and then blend it onto my face.
Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser
I swear my skincare has been such a journey. I think I have it down and then my skin gets so irritated and I have to start all over. Despite the fact that I have never struggled with acne, finding skincare that works for me seems to be a never-ending process. My skin is so sensitive and anything remotely heavy gives me super bad texture, especially around my cheeks. I am always on the hunt for products that will work for me, so I can have a routine. This month, I decided to head into Lush to see if maybe the natural route would be a good option. I’ve had some hits and misses, but this product was definitely a hit. The Angels 0n Bare Skin Cleanser has been doing wonders for my skin. This is exfoliating, but it’s not remotely harsh. After I use this, my skin feels super clean and baby soft. I don’t care for the smell of this, but I like how it makes my skin feel so I’ll put up with it. I was initially concerned that this would be too harsh for me, but I really feel like my skin can handle this.
Makeup geek x Kathleen Lights Highlight Palette
I discover a ton of highlight products on my quest to be seen from space. As soon as this palette was announced, I knew I needed it in my life. I won’t go on about it too much, since I did already write a full review, but just know that this is really really good.
Smashbox Always on Liquid Lipstick- Babe Alert
The liquid lipstick trend is not going anywhere anytime soon and in the month of September I discovered a new formula that I’ve really been liking. Smashbox recently debuted their new line of liquid lipsticks in a ton of shades, and I picked up one to try. This formula is not drying and is super pigmented. A lot of the shades didn’t appeal to me for whatever reason, but this deep coral spoke to me. It’s a great every day shade that goes with a ton of looks I’ve been wearing.
There you have it!
