June 2015 Favourites

June 30, 2015

Hi Everyone!

Somehow June has already flown by and it was time to gather my favourite things of the month. I always love writing these posts because I get to share the products that I just could not put down. I’ll admit a lot of June was ‘no makeup makeup’ looks just to look pulled together before I headed out the door. But of course there were days I could spend more time on my makeup, so I feel like my products this month are a blend of both of these kind of makeup days.

Bobbi Brown Cream Blush- Coral Calypso

The first product I have been loving this month is this Bobbi Brown Cream Blush. I don’t own many cream blushes, but this one caught my eye and I’ve been loving it. It’s such a brightening summery shade. It looks great for a no makeup makeup look because it just looks fresh on the skin. I applied this with a kabuki brush most of the month, but after using my fingers to apply it I like that method much better. It doesn’t mess with any other products on my skin so I can blend it in nicely. This product has disappeared from Sephora’s website at the time I’m writing this. I hope it’s just a glitch because I’d like to get the other shade of this formula.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Conditioner

I have been trying to use up my Sephora points whenever a decent VIB perk comes along. A couple months back a set of Bumble hair products came up so I picked it up and this was included in the set. At first I didn’t really care for this, but now I’m really enjoying it. It’s been helping minimize knots and it keeps my hair soft until the next wash. It also smells nice which is a bonus. I would like to purchase the full size but it’s $42 so I might have to search for an alternative.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I have been forcing myself to limit myself on this one, that’s how good it is. I got this for my birthday as I mentioned in my review and I have been obsessed with it. It makes my skin look so airbrushed. The finish of this is unmatched elsewhere in my collection.

MAC Pigment English Gilt

On days where I do have a little more time to spend on my makeup, i have been reaching for this pigment quite a bit. It goes really well with glowy bronzed skin. It’s the kind of gold I like to wear. It’s metallic, but muted and not brassy or yellow. This looks exceptional with cranberry shades in the crease, which suits my hazel eyes.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Radiance Bronze

This was also part of a point perk set. I wasn’t sure this would work for me because it’s pretty dark and my skin is the colour of paper, but once this is all blended out it didn’t really leave any obvious colour behind just a nice glow under my foundation. As for it’s ability to prolong the wear of makeup, I’m not really sure because I never have issues with my makeup staying put since my skin is normal to dry.

LA Girl Pro Conceal- Porcelain

My last favourite for the month has been a favourite for many months now. I bought my original tube of this back in September and I just replaced it with a new one recently. For less than $3 that’s pretty impressive. Since I last purchased it they’ve released a bunch of new shades so this time I picked up Porcelain which is a great match for my skin. This concealer is a really good corrector so I use this first to cover up darkness before I brighten under my eyes. It covers really well and blends out perfectly. Plus it’s dirt cheap so I highly recommend it.

So that’s all my favourites for the month of June. What have you been loving this month?

Bye for now!

I need to try that concealer sometime. I’ve been really liking my Rimmel Match Perfection though (I use that under my eyes & the NYX HD concealer for highlighting my nose & forehead).

Ya it’s really good! I struggle to find concealers that are light enough so I’m going to check out and see if they have a shade that will work for me! NYX is super hard to find here so I’ll probably wait until I go to the US in August.

That Bobbi Brown blush looks amazing for the summer time. I also love the pro-conceal, by far one of the best drugstore concealers 🙂 Jay xx

Ya cream blushes are great for summer too because they stay put even if you’re sweating.

Great picks! The Bobbie Brown blush looks gorgeous! The MAC pigment is super pretty too, I really need to try one!

Where did you get that Pro concealer from?

I usually buy it from Beautyjoint.com, but for some reason they didn’t have the lighter shades this time so I made an order on ladymoss.com. I wish I could find this in a store somewhere but no such luck so far.

That Bobbi Brown Blush is super pretty! I’ve been looking for a blush in that corally shade for a long time. That pigment is also perfect for summer – the blush and pigment together probably look amazing.

It’s funny you say that because I swatched the pigment and the blush next to each other and they complimented each other so well. I may try the cream blush as a cream eyeshadow!

That pigment looks GORGEOUS. I really want to try out that Laura Mercier primer! I love all products that give a nice, natural glow. 🙂 The concealer looks amazing, too! I need to try some LA Girl products since I’ve heard such good things and the price is so great! I now need all of these products! hehe 🙂 Great post!

Thank you! Definitely give LA Girl a try! I bought one of their ‘semi permanent’ eye liners and it’s great too.

Anytime! I definitely will! Awesome, maybe I’ll have to order that, too! 😉
